Stone Citadel DEATH BY LIGHTNING AFTER KILLING THE BOSS

Hi what the heck is with this idiotic mechanic where after you go through the entire map kill the boss the loot and the crisis frag lands on the ground but there are these constant lightning bolts coming from the sky. There is no way to leave the boss room you cant open a portal you just have to die for it to end...Then once you die there is still a portal to use yet you cant access the map again. This End Game update has seriously not landed where you wanted it to. The precursors are kinda ok but these issues are just not fun.
