Fungal Behemoth boss in Hive problems
Run at this problem several times... don't know if it's intended. Fungal behemoth boss in Hive map spawns in cave. In that cave there are 3 patches of fungal growth (left, right and upper one). After few hits boss teleports to upper patch with his skill and remains in the corner there the whole time.
This is the problem since fungal patch explodes and leaves caustic ground (degenerates life over time). That patch regenerates fungal growth in seconds and then explode again. Since I play melee character (hollow palm monk) I must come to the boss to fight it and it erodes my health. I need to jump out of patch, w8 for my ES to go up, then jump back in, throw few hits, then rinse repeat. I have quite good damage, but don't know how someone plays this in sub optimal build. Usually fungal boss teleports around in his usual map, but here it just sits in that corner. Last bumped on Oct 3, 2025, 1:30:09 PM

Just ran one today myself. This is absolutely an issue. Not only is this just a boring gameplay mechanic for an actual bossfight, but unless you have actual defenses against this as a melee build you might as well consider this map unwinnable. I;m lucky enough that I play spellcasters/range builds primarily, but I can definitely see this as an issue.
Yes the boss is supposed to teleport around, but clearly this arena was not designed for that in mind, or was designed poorly. Either remove the teleport mechanic for this specific map, or adjust the fight/AI of the boss so it does SOMETHING other than just break. |
