Corrupted nexus disappears after dying in the map

I post this as a bug because I truly want to believe it's a bug, not a design choice. After dying in a corrupted nexus map, the nexus disappears and can't be completed anymore. If it's intended to work this way then I truly have no hope for this game anymore.

Been like this since the start.
