Chaos Ignite not synergizing with dark effigy or contagion

Unsure if it's intended or not but the chaos damage over time that you can build up in place of standard ignite using Blackflame Conenant doesn't seem to work with dark effigy or contagion.

The wording of contagion is: "Afflict a single enemy with a Debuff that deals Chaos damage over time. If the enemy dies while affected by Contagion, it and all other Chaos damage over time Debuffs spread to nearby enemies and refresh their durations."

The wording of Blackflame covenant is: "Ignite inflicted with Fire Spells deals Chaos Damage instead of Fire Damage"

The wording of Dark Effigy is: "Raise a Totem that bombards enemies afflicted by Chaos damage over time Debuffs"

With ignite being a form of damage over time I'd have expected the chaos ignite to have spread with the likes of contagion and since the "ignite(d)" state is a debuff I'd have expected it to be targeted by Dark Effigy.

This may have been excluded due to balance however if this is the case I think the wording could do with updating to provide clarity :)
