Warriors feel shoehorned by opportunity cost.
I genuinely am frustrated by the extent warrior feels forced to play a certain way.
Giant's Blood is mandatory and I think to a person every single warrior player hates it conceptually. The second you get a decent weapon on a good weapon on a high-end base, pathing to polymathy is mandatory. That means that like... 60+% of your tree is mandatory. If you are on trade, Constricting Command is mandatory and that forces you even harder to an even more rigid passive tree. None of these things feel like metas that players arrived at through a ton of experience and trial and error, they feel like the game telling you "Do this extremely obvious thing or your character will be 1/8 as powerful." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's all if you want to actually play a warrior (and hit things... with your weapon). You want to play Fortnite and build a base and 1-shot every boss? Easy, equip shield wall and basically do whatever you want!!! Annoyed by the part where you have to interact with the map you're in? Equip a polcirklen, herald of ice, armor explode and that problem will be solved real quick! Annoyed by interacting with the video game at all? Just play warcry build! TL;DR: If you want to hit things with a mace, there's pretty much 1 way to do it (or at least a flow chart that depends on your resources). However, the game goes far out of its way to convince you that hitting things with your mace is the worst way to play. Last bumped on Sep 28, 2025, 11:12:36 AM
