Market Tab Upgrade

Could somebody please give me a simple explanation of the Market Tab Upgrade, as I had 2 sale tabs which I upgraded and they went to remove only tabs, upon emptying one of the tabs the tab dissapeared and I had one tab less on my account. If the remaining tab is remove only how do I sell anything if I cant put anything into it.

Merchant tabs are not found in your stash, instead they are on the trade exchange NPC Ange, who appears in Act 4.
