Shrike Island and Trypophobia

This is a first for me. I have no problems with how games are made, run or look but this one map take the cake. Shrike Island makes me not want to play as more characters because I have trypophobia. I am so glad I didn't play HC because I can't even look at the screen while going through this map. I am not asking for the map to disappear or a remake but please lessen how many of the holes are on this map.
I really like this game but that one map makes me not want to touch the game if I have to go through it every season. Many people may feel nothing going through it but for me it is absolute torture. So much so that I am here making a thread about it. The beach stages in maps weren't bad but Shrike Island is a whole other monster. I know it is a optional map but you do need it to complete the treasure map quest.
If you could make some compromise for my request without taking away from everyone else's experience in the game I would appreciate it, thank you.

yes please remove.

also please remove all the rocks from the game due to petrophobia (the fear of rocks)
and remove grass due to hastenburaphobia (the fear of grass)
and trees due to dendrophobia (the fear of trees)
and the letter "K" due to kappaphobia (the fear of the letter k)

interesting that you would come in here trying to be cool with your reply and I am just asking for them to chill out on 1 map.......

You're not the first one to ask that and you'll probably not be the last, but you have to understand that GGG can't and shouldn't modify their game just because a miniscule percentage of their players suffer from some weird phobiae.

Look at how many spiders there are still in the game even though arachnophobia is one of the more widespread ones. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Many people (approximately 8% of male and 0.5% of female) have red green colour blindness. Yet GGG does not provide colour blind mode in the game. This clearly shows that when it comes to matters that affect accessibility issues or quality of life issues that concern the players' medical matters, GGG is extremely lacking and non-helpful.

They cannot even change the shape of the spiders to another object (for example tortise) for people with arachnophobia. Hence most likely your request will not be fulfilled.

I know it is crazy how many phobias are out there. Not even asking them to excessively change or remove anything. Just maybe a few less on the screen at a time. Now don't misunderstand I do get the island's ambience and that theme of it. Even the caves with the spiders completely understandable but somethings are done is excess it seems. But I do understand where you coming from and won't get my hopes up.

I find it crazy that they don't even have a color blind mode. Dang near every game has that now. With the changes coming up you would figure they could do something. I am talking about how they are changing the swarms in maps but won't lessen the spiders as mentioned for folks or take away a few nests in a map people like myself or even make a color blind mode for people that need it.

I haven't played PoE1 so I have no experience to fall back on. My friends got me into this game and I quite like it a lot. And I can see how asking this would make people feel this is that slippery slope. Which is why I am not asking for the complete removal of anything but give people a chance to be able to look at the screen.

Btw thanks for your honest and insightful replies. It does give a different perspective for me to look at.

The game tries to be very uncomfortable in many aspects and that's the point. When I saw darkness in the first interlude opening before my char like crawling insect I almost felt it on my skin (I hate cockroaches). GGG is very creative in making uncomfortable images but they are here for a purpose.

act 1 the executioner decapitates a man while his wife screams for mercy in the background. I'm sorry for your phobia but you won't be helped for it in this game
