Low visibility MTX / Aid in visual clarity
For me I believe that visual clarity is a problem with PoE1. Specifically certain skill effects are opaque and very attention getting -- which looks nice -- but tend to mask / cover up visual queues that you should be picking up from the screen.
I'd recommend GGG develop MTXes for primary skills that are intended to (greatly) improve visual clarity. For example many "nova-like" skills tend to pollute the nova effect with largely opaque and somewhat long lasting effects that make it hard to see what's going on in the entire AoE of the skill. While I don't have concrete ideas for fixes maybe one or more of the following could be useful: 1. Show the outline of each of the AoEs without cluttering up the inside of the effect. 2. Lower the amount of time (frames) that an effect is in place so that clarity is restored more quickly 3. Make sure every effect has an (adjustable?) transparency so we can still see what's going on while the visual effect is in place. Last bumped on Sep 25, 2025, 9:45:37 AM
