Act 3 sacrificial heart quest bugged

so i picked up the sacrificial heart in utzaal, then i placed it on the altar in the next area, picked up the sacrificial dagger and stabbed the heart but no reward dropped which is a book that gives passive points i think, on my map it says the quest is completed, stuck with that problem now.

As I remember, the book doesn't drop, you immediately get 2 weapon points.
