Losing armor break the second it occurs

So, I'm doing the armor break on heavy stun with more than 100% increased armor break and it does occur since I'm getting the scavenged plating.
However, when breaking armor with explosive shot(multishot, double barrel, stun, deliberation), it just disappears the second it appears. I can clearly see it for a brief moment.
Breaking it with flash grenade lasts the full duration.

I've checked 10 times over and I have nothing that consumes it. What am I doing wrong here?
