Recombination with Rattling Sceptre Exceptional Base
I'm trying to move +4 minion skills to 2-socket rattling sceptre base and i have failed so many times i think there might be something wrong with the new bases and recombinators.
After ~10 failures i decided i'll record my attempts and here they are: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtbDBmGnAbY Out of 15 attempts i failed 3 times (which is pretty lucky, because i should have ~15% of failures with the lucky omen and i have 5%, but it's a small sample) and picked the wrong base 12 out of 12 times (100% and apparently it's suppposed to be 50%). In my previous unrecorded attempts i've had similar results where if the recombination was successful it was always the wrong base. Am i just unlucky? this is how it works in poe2, you can't easily move rare mod from bad base to good base, otherwise everyone would be use this insanely cheap method for moving 1 rare mod. Game doesn't show you that, but it's around 49% it would stay on old base and 1% it would move. There is a 3rd party spreadsheet with discovered odds.

" Do you mind sharing this spreadsheet? Also, the base will always (correct me if I'm wrong here) end up as the one with the lower ilvl. If your exceptional sceptre and the normal one are the same ilvl, I suppose there is another check that weighs the exceptional one higher |
