Corruption nexus no longer spawns

After expanding in multiple directions, there are no more corruption nexus for me. I do not know what is the reason, but there is a map with no connections to it with a corruption mod on it. I cannot attempt or click it. Please help, i am stuck at 25 points on atlas.
