Leech Not Working Properly

I am playing acolyte of chayula with the leech from chaos node.

I have %leech on my quarterstaff and original sin to convert my damage to chaos, but the leech is not working properly.

99% of monsters that I hit do not leech at all with the exception of sometimes my wind dancer's gale force will trigger a leech and only sometimes when I proc my volatility stacks I gain temporary leech.

I don't think this is a leech resist issue as my character does a lot of damage so that even a small leech should give me a lot of mana. Unless there are monsters with 100% leech resist.

I would appreciate it greatly if you could look into this, thank you.

It's shitty wording. Sap of Nightmares only works with Mana Leech, not Life Leech, so it's like a Chaos flavored version of Walker of the Wilds, which makes it completely useless as an Ascendancy node imo.

Do you mean it the other way around by chance? Because I am trying to leech mana and it isn't working.

I think it was supposed to work with Life Leech but was fast tracked. Sap Of Nightmares and Walker of the Wilds share similar coding. From someone else's testing, if you have both selected, then you can't leech from Chaos damage. Only elemental.
