QOL - Allow us to weapon swap like POE 2

If you want to use a skill which is in your secondary weapons you have to press x -> use your skill which is in Weapon set 2 -> press x again. Pressing x twice is so clunky though.

In POE 2, you can just press the skill you want to use and it will automatically swap weapon set.

It would be a QOL improvement if you could to do the same in POE 1 and be able to associate a weapon set with a socketed skill.

Not sure. I think what they have done with weapon swap in POE2 is good, and has made the mechanic much more player friendly to be able to use. I don't particularly think it is necessary in POE1, since the game mechanics and playstyle is a lot different, particularly with weapon passives. I think POE1 doesn't revolve around setting up combinations as much and should keep it's identity, so that both games have their own playstyles.

Having it automated might be okay, but I think it also might be a bit too powerful and force needing to weapon swap. Meaning you get 6 extra skill slots from the swap. I'm not completely against it, but I think it should just be for utility, not adding extra power, and not increasing button complexity. I know what you are asking for is an improvement for automating buttons for weapon swap, but I think having more weapon swapping would lead to more skills being used. It works well in POE2, partly because there are less flask buttons, and more methodical gameplay in that game.

I would be in favour of them doing some QOL for weapon swap POE1, but nothing drastic. A good start would be letting gem of the same type persist if you have them on both weapons, such as auras, not being needed to be recast, and skills granted on the weapons/shields. Say with discipline, if the skill is a lower level when swapped, you go down to the lower es level, then when switching back, you need to recover to get the difference back. No recast though, so you don't completely loose all ES from it every time you swap.

Anything that makes weapon swap more player friendly for players wanting to use it, without making it a necessary meta, I am generally in favor of. It is a bit clunky, so if that can be improved it would be good. I barely ever use it and I think it would be nice if it was at times more useful than just using them for levelling gems, or for players that are very skilled or have niche mechanic interactions. I would probably use it in HC, but currently find it more likely to cause problems with the chunkiness than be a benefit.
