Sometimes click shrines makes my character unable to do any actions
| As title says. I have experienced this numerous times now - occationally when I click a shrine, my character simply becomes entirely unable to act in any way other than regular walking. I can no longer use my skills. I can no longer dodge roll. I cannot sprint. I cannot open a portal and simply get this message above about not being able to use a portal at this time. I can also not click on the initial portal at the start of map. Effectively NOTHING works anymore until I log out of the character and login anew. ----- Pure speculation: I don't remember experiencing this before, but I suspect it might have something to do with me using one of the shrine buff unique sceptres, that already gives you a shrine buff permanently. I cannot really think of anything else that might be the cause of it. Last edited by Heelydon#1580 on Sep 21, 2025, 6:27:21 AM Last bumped on Oct 30, 2025, 2:26:13 AM | |
| i have this problem too, also strongbox have the same bug | |
| I've been experiencing this painful bug more often than I can count. Causes serious traversal problems around mobs and re-logging doesn't always fix it. No item correlation seems to exist, but it seems certain shrines and strongboxes will remove the ability to act. I will point out, my freezing charm was activated likely in the same tick as touching the shrine in my most recent experience. My best guess is there's a conflict between CC states and character freedom updates that negatively interacts with clickable options when cleared in the same frame or tick, which would be why strongboxes and shrines that freeze you can also cause this issue. Charms that remove stun and freeze don't prevent your current action from being interrupted, but prevent you from suffering any further effects in subsequent ticks, likely this "animation" or control state update is what's falling apart here, stun and freeze charm respectively. I recommend that if you encounter this bug to return to character select or reset the map area depending if the return to character select doesn't solve it. (In dire situations, resort to the latter immediately) | |
