Stuck in 'The Search' act 4 quest due to bug

The quest wont progress so Im stuck in the zone near the church with Missionary Lorandis by the door because I had to log off and attempted "respawn at checkpoint" as I spoke to Missionary Lorandis for the first time as he was heading inside. Now, there's no speak option, I cant go through the zone by the stairs since its blocked by guards either.

Ive attempted resetting and starting another instance. It doesnt work.
