Ancesterally Boosted attacks don't count as empowered.
Ancestral call and Fist of war state that boosted attacks count as being empowered.
If I take Explosive Empowerment (enemies killed with empowered attacks have a 10% chance to explode) or Cremating Cries (empowered attacks gain 15% physical as extra fire damage) Neither of those effects happen for attacks supported by fist of war or ancestral call. I ended up testing with Leap slam and Fist of war 2 linked with ignite 2. No matter how much I leap slam while ancestrally boosted I never build up any flammability. however if I unspec from those points and then spec into Burning strikes (12% physical as extra fire) I have no problem building up flammability/ignite I was also unable to get the explosive empowerment explosion to proc, no matter how often I leap slammed around while ancestrally boosted. i have also noticed that - there's a lot of bugs connected to empowered attacks - and what's added and what's not. Most of stuff just simply doesn't work or didn't calculate.
Stuff that worked before - doesn't work now. In that speed we will never get patched game if they will not provide more agile-development. Game looks like fallout 76 on release where bugs are visible in every 1h session. Last edited by saashaa#5518 on Sep 18, 2025, 5:42:55 PM

Hopefully this is just a small oversight and it's an easy fix. It might be that the node just doesn't work, or it could be that all ancestrally boosted skills don't get any bonus from empowerment. If that's the case it would be quite a boost in power for anyone using those supports or speccing into empowered attack damage nodes on the tree.

Hope this makes next patch. Seems like a simpler to fix problem, and major oversight to people trying to plan builds by reading tooltips.
