Spitit skills bricked.

My character suddenly cant use spirit skills (xbox) the skills are active in the persistent buff panel but they aren't consuming the spirit so the skills aren't working in the game. Tried everything obvious. I have enough stat requirements and I am not using weapon swap as I'm using hallow palm so have no weapon.Anyone else had this problem?
