network lag spikes in some zones

Hey!

I would like some assistance, since the launch of poe2 i have some serious network lag issues with both games. I know for sure its a network issue (routing maybe?), because if i use vpn its barely happens, (like once every 50 maps) and without vpn its every map. My ping goes from 30 and spikes up to 150-200 and time to time even higher. Since the EA started its been couple of months and i honestly dont want to pay a 12$ vpn sub to play PoE. Not sure what else information i can provide to find the root of the problem as its a widespread issue as far as i know so i would assume you guys also want to find a solution.

GGG haven't had any Technical Support staff for 5+ years, so they won't be looking into this.

For Path of Exile 2, you can instead find the log file it mentions;

Steam
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile 2\logs

Standalone
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile 2\logs

As the guide says, just copy 'n' paste one of the above into File Explorer's address bar.

Make sure you run the test 1) to a server you experience the problem with, 2) while the issue is occurring, and, 3) while not using a VPN - even if you have the issue when using a VPN. We can only find out what the problem is if the test is run while the VPN isn't active.
