Please make Asynchronous Trade an Account-Wide Unlock
Hi GGG,
First off, I want to say how much I appreciate the new asynchronous trading system. It’s one of the most exciting quality-of-life changes Path of Exile has ever received, and I’m really looking forward to seeing it evolve in future expansions. That said, I do have one small suggestion: right now, the system isn’t available until Act 4. I, and many others, believe the reasoning is likely tied to limiting bot activity and ensuring stability in the early game economy, but for legitimate players, it does feel like an unnecessary time-gate. My suggestion is simple: Keep the Act 4 unlock requirement the first time (similar to how Scion was handled in Path of Exile 1). Once unlocked, make asynchronous trade account-wide and permanent across all future leagues and characters. This would closely mirror how Scion was unlocked once per account in PoE 1, and it would strike the right balance between protecting the game’s economy and respecting genuine players’ time. Bots would still need to level new accounts through the campaign, but legitimate players wouldn’t need to repeat the same unlock every league. And the reality is, none of these measures ever stop bots — they only slow them down. The downside is that those same restrictions also slow down everyone who isn’t botting, which just feels bad. Would love to hear your thoughts on this, and I know from conversations with other players that I’m not the only one hoping for something along these lines. Thanks for considering it! > all future leagues
Is no go. Every league is clean start, GGG has a strict stance on that. |

I get the “fresh start” argument — it’s probably the main reason I’ve played nearly every league for the last decade. That’s why I care about keeping the reset meaningful, while still asking for improvements that don’t compromise it. Every league still resets characters, stash, and the economy — the only change would be skipping the chore of re-unlocking a better trade system.
Async trading isn’t immune to abuse, but it’s far harder to manipulate compared to the old system. It ensures actual transactions can happen, instead of wasting time whispering ghosts that never answer. To me, that feels like a much healthier baseline to preserve, and it doesn’t take away from the spirit of a league reset. |
