Tower System
The tower mechanic is boring, it isn't something that brings fun to the game, it feels like a chore, and after I spent all my boosted-by-tower maps, I didn't feel like playing anymore because of how annoying it is to interact with this system that rewards spending many hours in a row pathing to towers while getting bad loot and then boosting all the towers at once and then actually having fun and playing the game.
It doesn't help that the Atlas has no zoom-out feature (the current max zoom ratio is meaningless), so it is also a chore to move around it. And I know about pinning map locations but it isn't a good enough feature once you've explored too much of the Atlas. That's my feedback, I gave it because the main reason that forced me to stop playing was the tower system and because I hope it doesn't exist in the same way it does now for 1.0 as I really like the game overall. I've yet to read anyone who says they enjoy playing for hours and hours with this tower system. - Written by a player who has around 250-300 divines if the value of every item is counted as of the moment this was written. PD: Current endgame performance doesn't help, as I and others have a great CPU and yet fps go way down in certain situations or even crashes occur if using DX12 instead of Vulkan. I don't understand why the towers are here to blame. would you like them to be gone and therefore juicing be also gone? or you just want easier juicing? if its going to be easier i imagine it wouldn't be as juicy.
what i mean is players clearly find it rewarding to spend many hours/days to set this up, yet you don't want it? I agree about atlas navigation is ass, maybe this creates the busy work more than the towers themselves? i for one find them much more engaging than scarabs. they are interactive sextants that break the monotony of mapping imo. " I also quite like the way they work, deciding where to go and how to path there is a mini-game in itself. It's far more boring to just run the same maps with the same scarabs for hours on end. Navigation definitely needs to be improved, at least the pins help a little. |

Interesting. I'm glad to know that some people enjoy it.
