[Feedback] 3rd Playthrough - 327 hours playtime

My previous playthroughs, and feedback held the following statement:
'The endgame experience has a disconnect between the players wishes, and the reality of hard-caps in the game.'
I think that patch 0.3.0 has widened the possibilities, but hasn't improved the learning/difficulty curve to align with a preferred playthrough.

I still hold this statement to be true. Because my 3rd playthrough is similar to the first two. I as dedicated player, am unable to beat the endgame with my playstyle. The endgame frustrates me every time to just stop playing.

The major content update was about act IV and the Abyss league. I really like them both. Act IV was rich in environment creativity, world building and interaction. Bosses went one step further regarding mechanics, and being less of a bullet sponge. Interludes were a pleasant addition. The League was frequent, challenging and rewarding. A step in the right direction.

I chose to play the witch this time. I thought it would fit the Abyss League.
I thought up a build that would be fun for me.
Minions that deal damage and tank for me, Cold spells for additional damage, slow and freeze my enemies. Supportive mana and energy shield.

It didn't work for the first 3 acts. After that I choose to quit the idea, and simply try save the playthrough and beat the end game.
The reason I think it didn't work is two-fold.
1. I had a very low drop rate of regal orbs. I believe I had a total of 3 during Act III. Upgrading weapons to rare was unavailable for me.
2. My build was too spread thin. I could not manage to deliver enough damage to progress through the acts, because I wasn't specializing in a single subject. I was investing in 4 different things as mentioned above.

This made me realize two things. I am able to craft a build, but I am not able to make it output enough damage value to compete with the difficulty curve.

Here's my experience

After Act 3 I chose to just focus on chaos damage. That worked, was powerful and fun at the beginning, but during the interlude I realized it wasn't a fun gameplay loop at all.

I was maxing out my power, and skipping waystones up to Tier 10.
I was starting to die more frequently and thought this was the part where I should improve my build again.

The problem was that I wasn't finding or crafting anything good, and was stuck until I did find something worth it.

I found myself experiencing the same thing over and over again.

A
1. Upgrade waystone
2. Start clearing.
3. Encounter Abyss League spawn. Die from unknown insta kill source. Repeat.

B
1. Upgrade waystone
2. Start clearing.
3. Clear Map. Acquired underwhelming resources.
4. Unable to upgrade build. Repeat.

It became another Grind wall or rage regarding insta kills.

My wish for the future of the game is the following.

1. I want to be able to make my 'unique' build scale with the difficulty curve.
2. I want to progress through the endgame without having to grind.
3. I do not want to get isnta killed by something I cannot register with my eyes.
4. I want to eventually be able to defeat the final boss.
5. I want less trash drops, and more meaningful drops.
