TEMP Chains and Chilled ground are both horrible. On ground death effects are a joke.
Seriously either turn these map mods way down in chance to appear or just remove them. Its insansely irrating how slow they make you, especially if youre playing any of the slow "classes". Barely being able to move is hilariously bad game design. everytime i've tried to play one of these maps i can't help but laugh at how these map modiferes are still in the game, it's literally like playing the game at .2 speed, geuinely baffling.
I can only think they're in the game and so common to artifically elongate the mapping expierence because the end game content is a repetitive drudge. While i'm here, on ground death effects are in an even worse state. the most hated mechanic from poe1 is back. This time the game is even more screen cluttered, mobs spit effects everywhere even on the lowest setting and half the time i can barely see my character on the screen. YET, there are at least 10 or more on death effects, some of which even after the patch linger for EIGHT seconds.!!!! EIGHT seconds. as if this isn't bad enough they are tiny, half the abyss one's are minisucle and the same bloddy colour as all the green shit coming from the mobs. AND THEN these abyss mobs actually have modiferes that makes mobs or themselves invincible unless you stand in an invisible black cloud among all the ground shit trying to kill you? Did anyone seriously test or play maps in this leauge???????? its honestly an absolute joke from a game design perspective, forcing a bunch of shitty unfun mechanics into your game in the name of "friction". Friction is great. But maybe work on making the game a fun expierence for the players before you put all of your eggs into your annoying as fuck design philosophy. Im so sorry to all of the poor melee players, I can't even imagine how bad the game is for the 5% of players still trying to use melee.
