Feedback Act 2 balance (playing hollow palm monk)

Hi,

Currently playing a hollow palm monk going through act 2. Character itself enjoyable. Combat in general has not been fun since entering middle of act 2:

TLDR: Monster damage to high(single hits AND DPS), impact of evasion feels low, engaging in combat too punishing in melee range. Recovery options for elemental damage bad(no leech).

My current defensive setup uses 979 evasion on a 514 Life + 110 ES pool. From what bases and mods are available at this point, that should be about average to above average. Resistances are 61/75/34, so no problem there either. Considering I run on twink gear this part of the campaign shouldnt be as hard as it is now. Even considering "skill issues".
Combat feels very punishing, ranged monsters feel difficult to put up with, melee monsters feel difficult to fight especially in packs. Combinations of both in medium numbers are incredibly frustrating. Evasion feels like its not having any significant impact on survival, getting hit a lot. Considering how hard it is to get a stable gear state at this point in the game it feels like chance to evade is too low at this point for the amount you can get.

Making combat especially for melee characters a bit more attrition based instead of getting oneshot or mowed down in 1.5 seconds is likely leading to more engaging campaign combat feel.
Ranged monster density makes it even more difficult, keths regurgitating vultures spawning in large packs throwing ~5+ projectiles at you while you fight other monster is clearly a problem.
Idea: Maybe offer elemental leech instead of physical like "walker of the wilds" keystone on the tree so monk can also solve recovery and not only huntress when choosing elemental damage types. Especially considering that you have to sacrifice either a support gem slot for it or find leech on gear.

Cheers!

Yeah I don't know, you have issues in act2 with twink gear, that's just...unexpected...your build must not be strong or you're doing something wrong because act2 by itself is more then fine.
