I just quit the game because the atlas isn't fun to progress
Title says it all,
I've been playing every patch and not a single one I've reach far enough to get all my trials nor beat any single pinnacle boss because the atlas is just soo not fun to navigate and progress through. In 0.1, I've reached citadels but that's it. Now I need to do corrupted areas and I just can't... not because my build can't, but because the maps are too long, the progression is too tedious, navigating this huge thing feels bad. Yeah it looks good but I just can't. Last bumped on Sep 13, 2025, 1:29:26 AM

That's a bummer. I hope you find a game that's more to your liking.

I really enjoy the atlas system as it is. However, I'm likely quitting now that I've reached maps and done my first corruption cleanse. The maps just take too much time and I don't like the feeling of "loss" if I have to drop in the middle go do IRL things. If maps were smaller or there was a way to preserve mid-map progress I'd play more. But not playing meta and having maps just full of so much stuff, it can be a long time commitment.
Also, the endgame was rushed and what it's like now (the atlas system) might be completely different than what's there on release. But it's pretty clear they like huuuuuuuge maps so that bit's probably not changing. | |
" What game are you playing?????? A juiced map takes 5-10min.... If you're spending more time than that it's cause you don't have a filter setup and you're looking at every item or you're doing maps higher than what you should be doing. |

" I just can't with you people. Completing a single map in PoE2 is among the absolute fastest online gaming experiences available. You can't do a WoW dungeon or play a round of CoD or CS:GO or Overwatch or like absolutely literally anything faster than a PoE2 map. Like how tf long do you expect them to last dude? And... like, can we address the fact that they can be PAUSED and that you can portal out and minimize the client and COME BACK LATER? Like holy shit what do you want? Can you describe what you would find acceptable? Last edited by Kerchunk#7797 on Sep 13, 2025, 1:30:52 AM
