Chaos Trial stuck lever room

So I'm trying to not sound like a rant because I just got stuck in the Chaos Trial in the room with the levers and it was like 7th or 8th room of my Trial and I end up out of the Trial, spoiler, not happy at all.
To explain, in the Trial room with the levers where I had the mission to Kill all the Monsters, I managed to kill all the monsters at ground floor but then couldn't progress anymore cause no elevator working. One was down and didn't activate to go up. One was up with the lever at the bottom that you can't activate/use and one monster moving around on the top of the elevator. I thought if I can go back to character screen maybe I can reload the room but going back I was out of the Trial, using the stone activation and loosing all this time to get there. Is this the game we want us to play? Solution? Swallow it? Thanks
