Can anyone explain quill crabs?
After A4 mobs were added back as bindable spectres in patch 0.3.0c I decided to try and get some quill crabs. However, I don't understand them. There are 2 different ones. One is 38 spirit and the other is 44 spirit. However, they appear to have identical stats? What is the difference?
They also don't seem to have any "DPS" info at all. the only damage info included is damage modifiers from gear etc.. In contrast, the Vaal Guards have multiple tabs with detailed "DPS" info on their abilities. Can anyone explain the difference between these 2 identical mobs with differing spirit cost and why there is no specific DPS info about their damage? Last bumped on Sep 12, 2025, 6:03:33 AM

Use this to find out some basic info about most specters in the game. |

" Thanks but I have already seen this (on his website). That is all based on 0.2 (according to his website) so I'm not sure how accurate all that info is considering lots of changes since then. It also isn't answering my main question which is why does this spectre not have specific DPS info included? Even in his video it shows the same thing..no specific DPS or ability info..only damage modifiers added from gear. |

" I don't know exactly why, but almost all specters have no relevant info shown. It's like GGG is stuck in the "POE is all about unnecessary complexity and 0 hand holding". You can have a complex game and give us the info. In POE 1 is even worse, minions have almost nothing relevant shown. To get back to your original problem: from the limited info and that table it appears that the 44 spirit crab is an elite/queen, rare in quality and has an extra effect of leaving a chaos dot pool at the end of their attack. But as you said, this is a bit outdated so it might not be accurate. |
