Love and despair

I think update 0.3 is great...
Apart from performance issues that ruin the map for me, everything is fine...
BUT
There is one thing that really drives me to despair and frustrates me... The issue is citadels!
I'm now close to level 96 and I haven't found a single citadel... I've been running in one direction for 3 days, hoping to discover a beam... but nothing... just nothing...
It frustrates me so much... I'm close to giving up...
Please help me... what can I do? Have I overlooked something important? Or is it just bad luck... because I'm not getting anywhere and I'm losing motivation... Thank you so much for your support.
