Slowing mechanics in an already slow game

I see the complaints about the slowing mechanics here and wanted to put a different spin on it and try to reason why they just don’t belong in this game. Both chilled ground and temporal chains have to go. While I appreciate the reworking of temp chains being occasional this go around, I question why you feel the need to slow down a non-zoom zoom game. If slow and steady is the direction we are going to keep here, quit making the game more punishing by slowing us down to a crawl. Again temp chains occasionally activating is better but let’s move on to chilled ground…..shall we? Patches of chilled ground may as well be described as “chilled ground all over that is unavoidable.” Have you actually payed attention to how many “patches” there are and have you actually tried to avoid said “patches”. It’s not possible! If we are going to keep this in the game, somebody needs to figure out how to make the patches more avoidable and less everywhere or better yet, remove it because the game is already painfully slow even with the new “sprint” feature where if you run into a non-visible object object you get interrupted and we have to wait for the tripping over you own 2 feet animation slowing us down again. Let’s consider taking out the unnecessary things like this that are making the game even more madding slow. Pull your numbers on how many maps with temp chains and chilled ground are becoming vendor food or are being sent to the reforging bench……you may be shocked to see how the community is rejecting these mods!

Yeah so many things in this game make 0 sense. It's kinda cringe these GGG people have no clue what they're actually doing nor do they playtest any of the stuff.
Exactly! This is absolutely the point.
We don't need extra-slow debuffs in game that is already slow.
You should get used to this slow-paced combat with 3-4 buttons to push + some AoE transition. You should be at least mobile enough to kite and do stuff. But when on the top of already slow-paced game you got Chilled Ground you really can't understand why developer hate you so much.
Speaking of slowing, anyone else notice a perma slow effect persist on your character?
I could be wrong but I think some monster modifier is persisting even after death... I see no icon showing up for effect on character but I can feel the slow, and after exiting through portal to hideout my speed is back to normal...
heaven forbid there are mechanics in the game that you need to build around. . .


. . . Temp chains and frozen ground are awful yes, just get some slow mitigation or equip wanderlust or go Pathfinder.
