Vile Vultures
Am i the only one who ABSOLUTELY HATES this enemy. I hate it more than the shield bearer skeletons or the feridun mobs you'd encounter in the dreadnaught, and i DESPISE those monsters. When i see vile vultures, i actually see rare versions of these mobs it actually just destroys my entire enjoyment in the game.
These monsters leap at you from too far away and if you take a step or two to the side, they consider you too far away so they leap at you again doing a ton of damage. They're often tanky, and generally affixes they get just absolutely make these guys miserable. I fought one with hasted, prox shield AND mana siphon on the same one. I wanted to scream. This should not be a thing at all. These mobs make the interlude segment horrible to deal with, and i hate deshret the most in A2, it has to be the most hated area in the entire game for me. I hate everything the interlude act 2 in the Khari Crossing just the absolute worst zone i've ever had to play through. I've done it several times. I was planning on doing a feedback post like i did for the campaign experience and general changes post like i did before, but related to the interlude acts. I ended up concluding that i LOVE the interludes A LOT, and then Khari's Crossing happens and i just absolutely despise everything this zone stands for. Every monster just swarms you, tons of chaos damage and heavy phys hits everywhere, vile vulture rares just annoying af to deal with, and the annoying twister spawning giants that fall over mobs to top it off. This zone is the absolute worst experience in poe2 i've ever had, even more than poe2's .2 patch. Last bumped on Sep 11, 2025, 8:07:13 AM

I hated those guys at some point too, but what heped me is that right before that byrd finishes the slam you just step a side, they deal damage in line in front of them. Not sure if you already knew this but figuring this out helped me tremendously and i no longer see them as a threat

" Or you run/dodge roll under them when they leap. That way you end up behind them so you can hit them right in the keister before they even start turning around. If you play a Merc, use the Permafrost Bolts. Most of the vultures will get frozen mid-air if they leap at you. Very satisfying... |
