Minion behaviour idea
I love the new minion buffs and minion build. it's my first time trying proper minion build.
Just a question/ suggestion. Why don't we make minions stay 1-2m ahead of you in the direction you're running/sprinting? it takes so much longer to run around and spot mobs, then runaway few meters and allow the minions to naturally aggro to mobs or I manually command them to attack. By having the minions run ahead of you 1-2m in your character's running direction, it'll be much efficient to reduce mapping time and for survivability of our characters. Changes to minion behaviour or having support gem to allow minions to be ahead of you. sacrificing damage (usually) support for more/better minion behaviour which allows summoners to survive better and to map for faster time. We had a tool in PoE1 to deal with this issue: Convocation. It teleported your minions to you and gave them a health regen buff. Not sure why it wasn't ported over in some fashion.

Good idea. If we die its beacouse we run first (to later go back when we encunter enemies) for our minions to aggro.
Melee minions should by default as you say run infront of you and ranged should be behind same distance. |

They just need to make minions faster and more aggressive. Reavers lag behind, while unearth scorpions are good at staying in front.

i would like more behavior modes to switch:
1. full agro (increased agro leash range of minions, allows them ignore the fact player is moving away/in other direction); 2. low agro (~current one); 3. defensive - attack priority to those who closer to player/who attacked the player. PS: actually i need much more proactive offensive agressive minions, not ones who stay behind me and wait until i body pull monsters to them (wtf). |
