Every League around the 2 weeks Mark the economy turns to crap

It hapend ins POE1 and it has been happening in POE2 aswel.
Like a clokwork around this time prices skyroket to the heavens and everything becomes imposible to optain for the regular player. This is the time when i usualy quit the league.

Is it Bots ? Is it price fixers and flipers. Is it GGG ?
I dont know. But it happens every time.
And when u couple that with a bad league/Game it just kills any desire to play or enjoy this game.
When a talisman becomes 600exalts juts.....no, no thank you. Im not here to work a job in a game so i can afford an item so i can make a build work properly so i can do what exactly ?
For a regular player this just completly removes an important part of the game.
And it makes the game les desirable to enjoy/play.

Yesterday i googgled an item. I wanted to know where it drops and if its farmable.
Almost the entire first page was Black Market real money items sellers.
Id wager the people runing and involved in these sites are somewat responsible for the state of the game economy and manipulation.

Play ssf, you never have to worry about this nonsense. You can just play and enjoy the game. Don't look at guides or worry about the meta on league start.

And pray you don't get bad rng drops
I want to play a game the way its ment to be played.
I want to be able to trade some items and gear a character in a reasonable amount of way and time.
I want ti find good gear dops on the ground actually.

When a game is making that a chore or a job or near imposible. Im not going to push myself to play said game just for the sake of playing it. Im going to go spend my time in a better place.

This is why I've always seen player driven economies as overrated or downright bad. It will almost always become rapidly top heavy.

hehehe when I tell that TRADE in PoE2 ruins game , most fanatics of PoE2 takes it as offense tell me that trade is perfect and I do not know things...
It was enough for me to play PoE2 from the beginning for 4 weeks to release that is massive drown back for this game. Hyperinflation, scams, taking pleasure from game and many others...

The game having expensive items isnt a problem. This is just something that will happen when the people who play the game alot sit on more and more currency, then the price on the very high end items will rise alot.

What build are you playing where you need a 600 exalt amulet to enable your build? Im pretty sure such a build doesnt exist. You just found a high end amulet that you wanted but you dont play the game enough to afford it so now you complain about it.
Same reason I've always considered online gaming economy to be a lost cause. The best experience always comes from a game that designs its rewards as a standalone system. Any attempt to design a reward system that requires trading will always end up rewarding people who can play long hours and keep playing, punishing people who play less.

Think of the real world. Suppose the only job that exists is mining the earth (i.e. killing monsters and picking up drops). Someone who is digging 12 hours a day will always be richer than someone who only digs 2-3 hours a day.

Yet GGG refuses to provide an SSF balance of item drop rates and currency drop rates to service people who play less.

Come to think of it, this is probably also why I only ever find these seasonal looter games fun in the first month. After which I just find no motivation to play because it's just not rewarding anymore.

But it's really an obvious outcome. The whole reason seasonal resets exist is because there is no other solution to this fundamental flaw in looter games except to force everyone to start over.

We can see it in the numbers, too. Every league people come back then they quickly leave after a couple of weeks.

Trading is a band-aid solution to uncontrolled RNG in looter games. Seasonal resets is the band-aid solution to inflation caused by trading. And every 3 months we see it repeat over and over no matter what devs have tried in the last two decades or so.

The only things we can do as players is to either suck it up or don't play it (i.e. leave once things start getting bad). If the gameplay is really good, come back next reset. This loop of doom is just the hallmark of the genre.
