Campaign is TOO LONG (NOTE: TO REPEAT/REDO/RECLEAR)

There's probably a thousand threads about this already, but i believe more = getting seen.

Its kinda a half-half between the player base as some people actually like campaign and i won't blame them for that, I'm here to give my personal feedback.


Personally, its fun the FIRST time I do it, literally the first, not the first character every league. I feel like clearing campaign in 3-5 hours is the better way(PERSONALLY--please its my personal feedback lol don't attack me) to do it.

Yes, the world record for campaign is I believe, 1hr30mins? I don't think everybody could do that. I could prolly do it in around 10 hours or less. still too long. Much less a newbie, probably 30-50 hours.


Point is, I want to try more characters but ill just quit with 1 because i'd rather not slog through campaign again.

Maybe a campaign skip, or at least finish the campaign once in a league and let it be skippable? If that's the case the long ass league every reset is still a topic. Maybe clear once and then every league you just do the bosses like interlude? idk, but i'm here to say its too damn long to repeat it.



There's also the argument that tryhards will leave behind the newbies without campaign, but isn't that what they're already doing EVEN with campaign? newbies/casuals are literally stuck on it for 1-3 weeks while everyone that is a veteran with some freetime is already lvl90-95 chilling(lv95.5 myself), so I believe this argument is invalid.

And it is going to get longer. I don't know why people celebrate 0.3 when it is obvious that with the new additions the game would suffer. Loot sucks? Wait until they introduce swords and axes and dilute it even more. The campaign is a slog consisting of long tight corridors? Wait until they force you to go through 6 acts of this and make the maps even larger.

It's all downhill unless there is a proper pushback

Imho they should give people the option to get to maps after act 3 or continue on with the campaign.

That way people like me can enjoy campaigning and those who prefer mapping can get there faster

Just add Delve to the game and everyone will be happy (who don't know Delve is league from PoE 1 which introduced endless dungeon).
