The crafting is insane
One of the biggest downsides in PoE2 for me was not having decent crafting options making the character progression stall and the next upgrade being out of reach for a long time. If you pair that with the bad endgame design and the fact all of the content is easy you had no incentive as an average Joe to continue the grind.
With the addition of the Abyss crafting and the omen design this has instantly been wiped for me and it made me get excited again like in PoE1. Every day I look for the next upgrade and figure out my strategy to craft my gear in a pretty deterministic way. It forces me to grind to buy the next horror essence, jawbone omen of light etc. I really hope they don't nerf it to much in 0.4 and are not to scared to leave this deterministic crafting in. Focus more on making the content more challenging to keep players busy and a better endgame experience. The current system makes it possible for the average Joe to steadily progress in character power which is a great feeling. With extra depth in endgame, more build diversity and a better balance making you to decide between map clear, single target dps and movement speed the top end of the playerbase will have enough to do. I have been criticizing GGG in the oast but I think they deserve massive credits for this one. What's your opinion? Last bumped on Sep 10, 2025, 1:10:19 AM
