Is it possible to improve Leap Slam's behavior so it don't fail majority of the time?

there are just so many places you try to leap over, it didn't work. Even tiny gap or very low ledge. Sometime it didn't work the first time, didn't work the second time, then keep trying it work the 3rd time, MAYBE.

I understand GGG want to aim for realistic animation. But maybe they can try something like "ok, you try to leap onto much higher ground, +0.05 second in 'preparing' for each meter" something like that. So the higher you try to leap the longer it takes, at least that will make the behavior much more predictable, rather than more than half of the time it just don't do what I expected it to do.

yea that little scaffolding in King of the Mist arena also can't be leap.

i really dont understand the rules of when it works and doesn't work. apparently the character actually moves along the ground so i wouldn't be surprised if it never worked, but it does work..sometimes. and you can leap slam through doorways which maybe shouldn't work if you were flying through the air.
Leap Slam has been bugged in PoE 1 for years now. What makes you think they can "improve" it?
