What is the direction of the game?

Hi I bought into poe 2 bc it was marketed to be a different game then poe 1. Every patch has made it more and more like poe 1. So I would like a clear answer is that the direction poe 2 will keep going in? I just wanna know so I can know if i want to keep playing or not

And that's a good thing. PoE 1 is a titan in the genre, making something that is its opposite is foolish by default. The game already has plenty of mechanics which are different so making it feel more like PoE 1 is not an issue whatsoever.

I never seen the point of POE2.

They should just keep improving POE1. Seriously so much effort to make a new game with a totally wrong direction that nobody wants.

Sure, there are peoples playing, most of them like me, for pure curiosity. Do they really like the game? That's the real question.

Ok well that's why I want to know what direction the game is heading. They marketed it as a new game different from poe 1 and im sure a lot of ppl who didn't like poe 1 bought into 2 hoping it would be better or different in some way. So they need to be clear on whictxh direction they are taking the game so ppl can make up there mind. You all have poe 1 if you want a fast paced brain dead game so what's the problem if poe 2 caters to different players. Also poe 1 has such a small player base kinda hard to call it a titan in the industry when it cant even retain players for more then a week or two

Are you sure about this? I remember it being marketed very specifically as a new campaign to play in the PoE client...

And if only they left it at that. We'd see less criticism.....well deserved criticism, might I add.
But no, some genius decided that it's "too different and big" too be the same game. Well, quite a few players beg to differ on that front. They wasted resources and broke something that didn't need fixing.
