Locking gear in a slot should be an option...

... or making the use/ equip buttons different on controller should be a thing. or both.

Let me tell you why I just decided to quit the league:

I was working on crafting some mid level bows for sale. After fracturing the affix I wanted for a few of them I started chaos spamming. As I'm doing this, my cat decides he wants to claw up the back of my chair. I stopped pressing the spam button to chase him away and while this was happening I managed to swap my bow I was working on with the one equipped to my character and dropped a chaos on it. Since I hadn't sanctified my bow I was using at the time, I wrecked it.

I spent most of my remaining currency trying to get back what I lost, and after failing, had to go back to a bow that did considerably less damage and change my tree.

That sucks.

I'm aware - this is completely my fault, but the UI could be a lot better for controller folks
