Frozen Mandibles frost bombs?

When the spectre version of these throws down frost bombs, in or out of battle, are they actually doing anything?

It feels like the frost bombs have no effect on mobs, so why even show the animation?

If I want to take a 10-minute break, I literally have to remove the Frozen Mandibles so they don’t just sit there spamming it in the background.

It’s really irritating. Either make it deal damage to mobs or just remove it completely.
