5%hp on interlude 2 bug?

I was in the molten shrine. I picked it up. But didnt use it, cause wasnt in my inventory. Do you use it instantly when picking up or do you have to use it (click on it)? Anyways, it still shows me as not done on the map marker. Did i F it up somehow or what is wrong here?
