How to craft this belt without breaking it?

Hello,
I don't have much experience with crafting in POE2 (specially with all these new omens and essences), so I need your help with something. I've got a belt with the perfect base and the four T1 mods I need (life, mana, armor, and strength), with the other two suffixes free. Due to my build, the fifth mod must be either fire resistance or lightning resistance, with a value of 20-25 for either one being sufficient. Anything else would brick the item. I wish I could swap one resistance for another like in POE1... And I'll do a specific desecrate on the sixth mod (this is easy). Is there a safe combination (regardless of price) to guarantee one of those two res on a suffix? Even if it's not guaranteed, I don't mind repeating it several times, as long as I don't risk the four existing mods. Thanks in advance. Last bumped on Sep 9, 2025, 5:18:23 PM

" Not sure if you can even guarantee a 5th mod res. If you use an essence as a 3rd mod, then that can guarantee the res you want. |

I don't think you can safely do it.
Only way i can think of is to desecrate one resistance and then gamble with omen of homogenising. You can get a random resist or life regen. Could also gamble with a fracture on str, then you can do whatever you want. Edit: you desecrate the resistance you dont want obv. and use greater or perfect exalt. Ive just fractured the STR mod. So now, Exalt, pray and dextral erasure until happy with the result, right? |

you could try once, seems like you're lucky
i think the faster and cheaper strat would still be with homogenising omen unveil with omen of echoes, get the bad resist then homogenising exalt and if you get chaos or life regen now you can safely annul and start over. in case it wasnt obv. you then remove the bad res with omen of light and add the correct one Last edited by phroz3n#3621 on Sep 9, 2025, 5:21:11 PM
