Feedback from free weekend
I played a Ranger using Ligtning skills.
Didn't know it was meta until weekend was over. I got to Act2 some yellow guy in a small square, shooting small strings of light, and some combination melee attacks. - The normal campaign monsters seemed way too easy, and not diffcult enough to the point it was boring. (this might because my character was meta?) Even if I sprinted directly into a wall and got stunned with 20 monsters chasing me. I was still able to get up while being hit then try to roll out of the monsters multiple times, finding that the hitbox would not allow me to. Then dps down all 20+ monsters before they could even kill me. After being both stunned running and rolling around multiple times... - On the other hand boss damage seemed way to high. To the point it was annoying... Felt like I was getting 1shot/2shot way to often. To kill the boss(es) it felt like you had to perfectly roll every attack, which just turned the game into the boss playing wack-a-mole with your character. Keep spamming roll is just annoying... I don't feel like we should be rolling more than once every 20sec-1min... (I never actually timed it) Some ideas for this: Reduce boss damage. Give player more base movement speed so it easier to avoid without having to roll. Boss(es) multiple hit attack (mostly melee?) first attack does 100, second 80, third 60. You get the idea. - I feel like PoE2 should find more inspiration from D2 where the main game is the harder part, and bosses aren't really that difficult. Of course there should be some difficult bosses, but when every boss you encounter deals high damage it becomes kind of annoying. - Turning while sprinting felt absolutely aweful. - Huge abundance of white items. From my understanding GGG wants players to craft often while they do the campaign, so this amount of white is ok, but for me atleast it felt a little too much. Other rarerity of items felt ok. Just watch out the number of items to reach PoE1 level. - I learned that support gems were no longer limited to 1 each caracter. Personally i liked the idea of s-gems being single use. Hope it comes back when more s-gems are introduced to the game. - Else the game felt amazing, GGG doing a great job! Last bumped on Sep 9, 2025, 12:33:01 PM

Also great with a seperate button for sprint so you don't have to roll first.

" Problem with that, a lot of non-meta builds already have too many buttons for controller. especially if you use multiple warcries. and multiple skills to get payoffs. |
