Simplify Freeze Mechanic
Why are you guys always over-complicating tf out of everything lol. It doesn't need to be this way.
For freeze we have: Damage of the cold hit Non-damaging ailment magnitude Freeze buildup Then if I want to trigger based on freeze: Meta skills gain energy Trigger skills refund % Meanwhile all that really matters is stacking the damage of your hits, then it will inherently increase freeze and trigger skills. This is a terribly designed system. Simplify this crap please. Not only is it completely non-intuitive (scale hit vs freeze buildup vs magnitude) but it's overly complicated and annoying to interact with. Last bumped on Sep 9, 2025, 3:09:51 PM

I really don't see what you find complicated
Damage of cold hit can apply both freeze and chill unless specified Freeze is a non-damaging ailment and thus affected by "Non-damaging ailment magnitude". Magnitude is imo quite simple to understand, it's effectively "how good you are at doing the thing". Freeze build up is just a sub category of "Non-damaging ailment" which allows the specific node to have much higher values. 50% of Non-damaging ailments is much stronger than 50% freeze build-up because one affects all non-damaging ailments and no the other. Essentially, non-damaging ailments and freeze build up are the same thing when considering freeze. So you essentially have two things - Damage - Magnitude (which freeze build up is part of) Unless you want them to remove magnitude and only leave damage, I don't see what could be done. |
