Contract: Karst’s Revenge bugged out

Bug report reference number: 1,537,7498,513.

I died before I could plant the poison. When I reentered i didn't realise I no longer had the poison in my inventory.

The convenient ventilation grate was not clickable.
I quit and retried several times.
Then I purposely tripped the alarm to see if it would unbug or reset. Sadly nothing.

Now I'm back in Rogues Harbour and can no longer talk to Karst to retry the quest and can't find any way to gain the poison back again.

Really annoying that a quest like this is a one off and failable due to a bug. Was really keen to play through his story.

Can this be attempted again or is it a lost opportunity?
