Is it true that I can not ever change crypts bonus?

I picked mana regen, because I desperately needed it during campaign, but now Im forced to go blood magic for scaling and that means the reward is literally non-existent for me and my character is permanently damaged.

It's been a common complaint since day 1 and they had to deal with the bandit stuff in PoE 1. Somebody in GGG is really stubborn and petty.
