Please nerf (chaos) ground effects and projectiles(in general) of any kind!
First of all, this is a wish and a personal opinion.
I am not speaking for the majority and would not consider my opinion to be particularly important. But not giving any feedback seems to me to be a missed opportunity. So my suggestion would be to weaken chaos-based ground effects and all projectiles in general by about 10 to 25%. For example, something I noticed recently is that if there's an event and the corridors are small, I don't play it. I will never play Mire in the current state again. The risk of getting stuck somewhere, getting hit and not being able to fight back, or not seeing the ground effect beneath me is simply too great. (The death experience point penalty should also be weakened; 2–5% would be a perfect penalty.) And I don't think the goal of a game should be to design game mechanics and “threats” in such a way that I no longer want to play entire mechanics. As developers, you might think, “Oh, this is fun, I want people to play this mechanic,” but given the chaos and projectile damage, it becomes absolutely painful. I understand the mix of difficulty, challenge, and reward, but so far, almost every activity is more difficult than the reward could ever be. Also most monsters can easily hit you off screen with projectiles and ground effects. Especially those bleed/blood type of monsters. But also in the Abyss its a nightmare because you hardly see ground effects or enemies charging any kind of range attack at you. As I said before, I see the point in meaningful difficulty and a connection to the fact that we are working for equipment that is needed to overcome greater challenges. And I know I could just play more cautiously, but I'm already most of the time moving backwards and if I get stuck on something and then die because of strange decisions made by the game developers. What might also help is that you can't get stuck on anything, that when you press a movement key, you somehow glide around the object (albeit more slowly), and that no matter how many monsters are around you, there should be some kind of mercy system where, if there aren't too many monsters, you somehow glide out, taking damage, of course. But you don't get stuck and can't move or attack. I don't think any of this would actually detract from the fun of the game, and fun should always be more important than any level of difficulty. Just my two cents, now everybody could tell me that I should just git gud. Last edited by Benjaneb#5471 on Sep 8, 2025, 9:33:02 AM Last bumped on Sep 8, 2025, 9:28:52 AM
