Build of the week - Lightning Fussilade (jank abuse edition)

Hello, i play PoE2 without looking at builds at all just to see how intuitive it is compared to the first game. This league i have stumbled upon something particularly broken after finding a series of janky interactions with ember fussilade and its lightning infusion.

The idea was to play into the new infusion thing and do a lightning and fire hybrid sorcerer and let me tell you i oneshot everything in t15 maps and kill the bosses in them in less than 20 seconds. I will list some of the weird interactions i found as it's the key parts and my actual talent tree is probably not even damage optimized, and my defense is entirely energy shield just to see if that was actually doable(it is but its not great).

The first jank, my campaign carry
So the first thing i found, which i would imagine is pretty well known maybe. Is that when you place a lightning orb and use EF(ember fussilade) each of the little orbs is a cast which means the lightning orb shoots very fast and you finish off with launching the EF orbs. Another strange thing here is that if you have EF orbs in the air while the infusion from orb of storms drops all the orbs you already summoned gets the infusion. You don't have to have it when you start casting. Ok so now we blast an entire orb of storms and a fussilade of fire with chain lightnings. Pretty good for the entire campaign.

At some point i also start using fireball with unleash just to fire 3 fireballs off in the little delay before EF shoots.

The second jank, mob density destruction
So at this point most of my AoE damage is from orbs of storms chains, fireballs with fire infusions from living bomb or snap. And then the chain lightning EF shoots from the target it hits. But then i take a look at mana tempest which makes your skills fork and i think "nice so if my fussilade hits one target and forks to two more i get three lightning chains, and it even gives EF and fireball more lightning damage". The payoff of course is that while you cast in it you start to lose mana very quickly, especially if you have to cast 8 EF orbs and 3 fireballs right? Well kind of, i try it with EF and first try to load them up inside and run into mobs only to find that it's not really bouncing. Turns out you have to have the buff when the orbs launch from you not when you summon them. So yeah that means i simply hold EF until i have the orbs then press mana tempest, and the the unleash fireball. Now what happens is i can launch all the EF orbs and the fireballs, even living bomb before mana tempest actually starts draining my mana, essentially going into mana debt. But really as long as you get that off there's plenty of mana remnants to fill you up. This part i also found is more smooth if you have quality on mana tempest, as otherwise the orbs wont bounce if you move out right as they launch.

The third jank, ricochet support breaks my non ricochet build
At this point i have a pretty easy time with maps and bosses, problem is when there's a very high amount of mobs as EF lightning only chains three times even with mana tempest. So i get my first perfect jewelers orb and i look through pretty much all the supports cause im not really sure what to go for. I then see Richochet 3 support which gives a projectile skill 100% pierce, the tradeoff being that all extra projectiles you would get from anywhere turns into ricochet bounces off walls instead. Now i have no extra projectiles or ricochet in my build at all. But i think what if it shoots lightning from all the enemies it hits, i wouldn't even need mana tempests for mappping then if that works. And that definitely works, but what's even worse is that because mana tempest splits and not forks it actually works even with 100% pierce. And this is where the build absolutely obliterates t15 maps. I simply do a lightning fussilade and fire it off with mana tempest and that just oneshots everything in the direction i'm looking, including rares.
At this point i literally started taking out support gems that gave levels or dmg to skills just to have stuff like "move faster while casting" because the damage wasn't needed.

I don't have anything for recording really but if anyone is interested im happy to figure something out to show it off. I'm currently farming t15 maps and i've even tested it against merciless pinnacle bosses where it works just fine aswell. I haven't actually killed one (close though) but this is down to a combination of my defense strat being pretty bad and me getting hit a lot because my reaction time and performance is also bad.
