Understanding the game and accessing information QOL

Hi all,

As a gamedev myself and someone that has been enjoying poe2 I want to discuss something that I think would greatly benefit the game.

I want to talk about how mechanics are explained to the user, Poe2 already does a great job providing some great contextual tooltips, so great job on that!

I do think this should be taken a step further though, it would be great to have a centralized place to navigate this sort of information that is now scattered across the game, like a simplistic wiki where I can look up for a keyword and read everything about it. Many games offer something like this, a great example is the 'Civilopedia' in Civilization games.

On top of that some mechanics are not really well explained; take armor for example; right now the game is in a way misleading you into thinking you will mitigate x% of damage, but if you actually look up how it works it's much more complicated than that.

In this case I would at least give some contextual example to the user, saying something like 'Hey with your armor (e.g 8k), you will mitigate x% with a hit of 1000 and x% with a hit of 10k'.

Another example is item mods, right now to figure out if you can roll a mod you have to just keep trying, look up the market or use community tools such as craftOfExile, and while that is great it does take some time for it to be updated,
Imagine I want to roll for whatever reason 'proj speed' on an amulet, how can I figure out I can or cannot do it?

I do believe this would be beneficial in retaining new players and especially console users, I find it weird how you have to basically look up on your phone or pc information on how some mechanics actually work outside of the game. Community tools are great but imo mechanics should all be explained to a degree inside the game.
