0.3 Feedback from a console player perspective.
I'll preface this by saying this is my unique experience if you don't have this experience GREAT I hope you don't encounter some of these problems. I'm a small content creator and I stream every minute I play you can find the videos at MightyMouthDFT on YouTube.
So starting with campaign: Campaign felt good, bosses felt unique, mechanics were cool. Loot dropped fairly decently, currency and runes were pretty scarce tho. I got to T15 maps and had 2 of each res rune and iron rune. I didn't use any of them I found and only had 8 useful runes by endgame. Support gems stopped dropping after act3's seconds area. Once I hit maps support gems started dropping again. Drop rates: Again just my experience Regals and exalts are rare for me. I have more chaos orbs, greater trans,and augs than I have regals. I couldn't just randomly slam items the whole time. I'm sitting on a whole tab of rings and amulets and 5-6 tabs of gear that had I just had a regal I could have started slamming and see if they were good. Abyss mats barely drop, also it was bugged I never saw an abyssal depths until endgame, and I almost never got chests even on the abyss maps I would kill every enemy but it would say 12 monsters remaining and none of the abyss would drop chests since it claims I didn't kill everything. I feel like this has gotten better but now that I'm getting chests they rarely drop mats for crafting. Waystones rarely drop. Even after killing the last rare in a map and sometimes even after killing the boss they don't drop. Also I've entered boss maps that have the text kill whatever the bosses name is, I kill the last rare it says map complete. Epitaph might be the most common map for this to happen in that I've found. Crafting feels fairly good, I feel like rings and amulets are harder to craft than before because damage mods are what you want and it will require a certain base and combination of omens, and combination of existing modifiers to reach the goal that you want with the rings. As for amulets I haven't quite figured out the best way to craft those yet I got lucky at like level 35 got melee skills and spirit and just said forget it I'll use this til 90. The abyss mechanic is dope was overturned and crashed me or killed me every single encounter in a map with more than 3 mods because of density that has since been fixed. But honestly I liked the chaotic density if it ran better. The only complaint about abyss is the green ground for that melts you and you can't see it that has caused like 45 of my deaths lol. I think a lot of things feel better Trade is easier Crafting is easier which actually makes selling ground loot you exalt slam almost pointless because anyone with currency can make it. Support gems feel better almost anywhere besides warrior again. Corrupting cry T1 25% of strength as damage -30% aoe Corrupting cry T2 25% of strength as damage Corrupting cry unique support 25% of strength as damage 5 Stacks applied at once but instantly die if you cast in a group of mobs. There is no benefit to that for Warbringer who is the only character that can use corrupting cry because every shout goes on cool down and you can't use pin to make seismic not go on cool down anymore. Ascendancies Most changes to ascendancies were good again besides warrior I'll focus on Warbringer Max block chance 75% but take 20% of damage from blocked hits. You can achieve 58% max block chance just by taking block nodes as a warrior area starter. Think of 100 hits You block 58 hit by 42 42% damage gets through You block 75% but take 20% of damage from blocked hits Block 75 hits 20% of 75 is 15 hit by 25 hits Net 40% of incoming damage hits you that's a huuuuge investment to get up to 75% block to gain 2% more effectiveness You also cannot exceed 75% anymore so you can't take the max block nodes to hit 83% Which would bring the incoming damage down to 33% which would be worth the investment. Break armour below zero still seems to do nothing. Jade form should just be flat DR like deadeye tailwinds so you don't have to activate it. On console you already only have so many buttons to hit it's hard to add a 10th or 11th key bind just to use your ascendancy. Totems are okay when not bugged so it's okay. This sounds mostly negative but I'm talking about things I think need changed not trying to be a Debbie downer just think there's too much tit for tat for warrior. You gain no extra damage from unique corrupting cry gem, most of them make you give up AS or Damage or AOE in return for one of the others. They did remove some of that in the passive tree which I am thankful for but it still exists. But overall the patch feels much better the base game is better,campaign was fun, bosses felt unique, I like the changes to the splinter system for pinnacle content. Simulacrum is crazy harder from last season. But I'm sure it will get fixed. Can we please remove the abyss green ground aoe dot damage that you can't out heal.i hope everyone's experience was better than mine I'm assuming the things I'm encountering are just bugs that need addressed. Hopefully it will get figured out I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't change anything but we press on. Follow my journey @MightyMouthDFT on YouTube.
