Here is the url to my document where you can view the images of the passive skill tree and ascendancy tree:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TEC5GTLoAsz-UOwRq8mT2uefLCngUeuiIX43QGb6WVo/edit?usp=sharing Class: Sorceress Ascendancy: Chronomancer Spirit Required: 120 Description: There aren’t a lot of chronomancers around so I thought I would showcase mine and let you know what I find unique about the class! The use of the 33% passive that lets you ignore cooldowns can be very beneficial, and so is Time Snap to reset all cooldowns. Paired with the second wind gem and some cooldown recovery, this lets you use skills like Flameblast and Convalescence (to recover energy shield instantly and without interruption) almost on demand. Let’s get into it! Ascendancy points, where to spend them: The first two ascendancy points are spent on Now and Again and Unbound Encore on the right side of the ascendancy tree. This lets you play with cooldown based abilities to your liking. While leveling, you don’t have access to a lot of increased cooldown recovery stat items and passives, so you might want to wield the Crest of Arduras shield, which will give you a chunk of increased cooldown recovery. As you level up you find other sources of increased cooldown recovery and you can drop the shield for a good focus. The next two points are spent on Quicksand Hourglass and Apex of the Moment to speed up your spells and increase their AOE range, and slow down nearby enemies. This will go well paired with Blasphemy Temporal Chains and some passives to Hinder enemies and increase Slow Magnitude. The passive tree looks a little like this at level 79 and a lot of gold in respec to figure it out: The two keystones that are important are Blackflame Covenant turning your fire spells into chaos, and Chaos inoculation, which makes you immune to chaos and bleed at the cost of your life being 1. For the rest you mostly want to invest in increased maximum energy shield, chaos damage with some increased flammability, increased ignite chance, the ability to hinder cursed enemies and more amplitude to slow effects. Stun threshold is also important not to be interrupted during your casts. Gearing is up to you but here are the stats that are useful for the build: -Increased maximum energy shield -Energy shield recharge rate -Increased spell damage -Increased chaos damage -Increased level of all spell skills -Increased mana regeneration -Ignite and flammability magnitude -Of course, your resistances to 75% Keep those stats in mind as you shop around. The only two unique items recommended are Blackflame which turns your ignites into chaos damage, and Temporalis, which is too expensive for my tastes, so let’s move on. Gems: Your main attacks skills are: Flameblast, with second wind 3, cooldown recovery 2, Burgeon 2 and Xoph’s Pyre. Incinerate, with Burgeon 2, Ignite 2 and Mobility. The auras are: Withering Presence (which makes enemies vulnerable to chaos damage), with any choice of support gems you want. Blasphemy, with temporal chains, Magnified Area 2 and Ritualistic Curse Utility skill: Convalescence, which recovers your energy shield on demand, with Second Wind 3 (or 2 does not matter), Prolonged Duration 2 and Cooldown Recovery 2. You can also take other spells like detonate dead, which can be quite helpful where there are a lot of monsters on screen. Gameplay: The main gameplay loop here is to use your two charges of flameblast, time snap, use them again, time snap, use them again until everything is dead. You might be able to use flameblast three times or four times per Time Snap because there is a chance to completely ignore the cooldown. Heal your energy shield with Convalescence (two charges) when you need it and gain those two charges back with time snap. By the time you use all your flameblasts and have no charges of anything left, Incinerate should be up and have enough fuel to last you a good 8 seconds. Kill things with Incinerate. When you are done, Flameblast and Time Snap should be up again. Use Flameblast, then regain two charges with Time Snap. Rinse and Repeat. I am only up to tier 8 maps with the build so I do not know about later on but it feels quite powerful so far, and unique. Let me know what you think and what should be changed to improve performance. Last bumped on Sep 7, 2025, 10:42:33 PM
