Hi, My Name is Tusk

This is a Build Guide on My Rocket Jumper Titan.

In .3, The Shankgonne Boots were added to the game. These boots have the unique feature of replacing your dodge with a ROCKET Propeled Backflip (Black Powder Blitz), which blinds and ignites enemies. While the damage is not great, it provides an extremely useful utility of ALWAYS Igniting in an area, and detonating skills that can be detonated

This is used by other builds primarily to detonate grenades, but I wanted to try something a little different, that used More of the abilities of these boots to it's fullest.

We do this through the following:
## Ascendancy ##
Titan. We choose titan due to it's ability to scale aoe, damage, and smaller nodes. Titan is extremely useful for getting enough aoe to allow our Sunders to overlap in packs, as well as allow our Single Target Molten Balls to overlap.

## MAPPING/CLEAR ##
1) Elemental Sundering for Clear, by Using the Ignites as an easy way to trigger the fire version of the skill without needing flammability or another skill with investment in ignite. We Just Jump In/Out of packs and pop our Sundering (See Video for Details).

Through this interaction, We skip any need to build up flammability to ignite, which speeds up the process. It also Feels really cool to rocket jump past packs and detonate them

## Bossing/Single Target ##
2) Volcanic Eruption + Ancestral Cry for Bossing. Volcanic Eruption is a melee attack projectile that triggers on hitting an Ignited Enemy. Ancestral Cry also has this ability, and Both Stack. Since Ancestral Cry generated Glory from Igniting Enemies, we have MASSIVE uptime during bosses, as it only takes 4-5 jumps to generate the 100 glory we need (We can also trigger ignites with Volcanic eruption, which means we have damage uptime).
We use Rapid assault to trigger our eruptions, as it attacks quickly and can trigger frequently. This also has the benefit of allowing us to Detonate spearheads from rapid assault. Black Powder Blitz is a detonator skill, which means we count to 5 and jump around the boss to trigger all our spearheads, making full use of both skills.

## Black Powder Blitz ##

This skill has a 3.5 Second cooldown at max level, similar to blink, and can be supported by skills. Funnily Enough, it is Neither an attack nor a spell, so options to scale it are limited (Hense why it is not our Main Skill). We choose to support it with Wildfire to spread ignites and improve clear, Cooldown recovery, Magnified area, and Holy Descent. Holy Descent is very useful as it will constantly give us consecrated ground as we jump around.

## Cool-down Recovery ##
Black Powder BLitz (BPB) AND Volcanic eruption are both on cooldowns, which means cooldown recovery improves our mobility, clear, and single target. We get cooldown recovery from the tree, through the Heart of the Well Unique Jewel, and by Annointing our Amulet with one of several cooldown options. Cooldown is based on preference, but I prefer enough to get BPB to less than 2 seconds of cooldown.

## Defenses##

The Shankgonne Boots come with the unique line
"
20% of Armour gained as Deflection Rating
. While It is possible to use this in combination with evasion (and Tactician) I chose to focus on Armour Scaling due to our pathing and Titan having an armour node in it's ascendancy. In my Current Build, it gives me about 37% chance to deflect.
Pair this with a lot of armour (23k) applied to elemental (33k), 51% block, decent regen, and above average mobility, and we have a much tankier build than one would expect.

IMPORTANT
I grab
"
Light on Your Feet
and
"
Momentum
to offset the lack of movement speed on the boots. This paired with other slow reductions nearby make this character EXTREMELY mobile in messy content. Curses and Slows barely have an effect on my character.

THIS IS PAIRED WITH.... UNWAVERING STANCE

No one picks Unwavering Stance due to it's cost of removing dodge and sprint. Guess what? We already have those removed, and BPB is not either of those. So we get that for FREE. Our character is completely light stun immune, which is extremely useful for high density content as well as just face checking bosses. It genuinely is crazy how useful it is, and it's thanks to these boots that we can equip it.

## Gear ##
We only have one other unique in the build, Chernobog's Pillar. Not necessary, but it does provide a lot of extra damage which is useful. Feel free to switch it out if you want.
Weapon: Spear, high phys, not attack speed or crit. Levels for attack/melee skills. Attack speed can be useful, but we do not need it as priority
Other Gear: Nothing Special. Highest Armour you can, ele and chaos res, and Armour applies to elemental. Feel free to slot out max 1 slot for extra damage, as I feel anymore than that can potentially affect the builds overall tankiness.

#Notables#

On the Passive Tree, I prioritized Area of effect and damage. Fulmination is a decent grab for 40% against ignited. Avatar of Fire is not necessary, but it does make things easier in terms of gems. If you choose not to go avatar of fire, Molten One's Gift is useful for having both usable.

## Utility Skills + Other things ##

We use Magma Barrier and Scavenged Plating as our Auras. Magma barrier gives block chance and gives us endurance charge generation, which helps with Ancestral Cry uptime. We don't NEED more than 3 endurance charges, which means only 1-2 blocks will be enough. Scavenged plating is used with Resonating Shield to break armour (doesn't need to be phys due to flat break about on skill) to both increase our defenses and generate us charges. Vitality and Canabalism are slotted in for better regeneration

We have infernal cry for Boosts in damage from exerted attacks. This can apply to BOTH Sunder and Eruptions, which means you use it when you can.
Spear of Solaris is here because we can. It does alright damage, but it's only really useful if you can keep and enemy still. But it does enough to warrent it's place

Snipers mark is here for no reason.

### Final Remarks ###
I had a blast making this build, and I think it uses almost everything you could from the boots (minus the blind, sorry!)
Playstyle: You are constantly jumping between packs. You have to think a little about positioning yourself so that you jump away to a useful spot, so that you can immediately jump again to ignite more enemies

Farm: What content to farm? Anything With high density will thrive with this build, but single target is also above average. Expedition, Ritual, and Abyss are all blasted easily thanks to their high density.
